Up, Up and Away at Farnborough Airshow

The Farnborough International Airshow is a week long event which combines a major trade exhibition for the aerospace and defence industries with a spectacular public airshow.  One of the largest airshows in the world with over 80,000 visitors. 

The daily flying displays of the most advanced commercial and military aircraft was certainly a highlight for the Food Show Team who were onsite to deliver hospitality for one of the US's most prestigious exhibitors.  

Here is a sample of our daily service which included breakfast, lunch and Afternoon Tea.

Breakfast  - a selection of pastries; artisan breads; freshly baked sweet and savoury muffins; homemade granola with organic yoghurt & fruit coulis; tropical fruit salad and Eggs Benedict with hollandaise.

Buffet Lunch - chargrilled chicken, white bean salad with black olive salsa; seared Aberdeen Angus beef served with baby carrot & asparagus; grilled eggplant with mint, fennel & halloumi cheese; Tronchetti pasta with roasted cherry tomatoes & basil and mixed leaves with lemon & vintage balsamic dressing.

Afternoon Tea - savoury canapés of mini Yorkshire pudding of rare roasted beef, horseradish & watercress; skewer of hoisin duck with spring onion, cucumber & toasted sesame and Spanish potato tortilla with piquillo peppers.  Sweet canapés of lemon meringue pie with confit candied lemons; passionfruit & mango panna cotta and petit eclair with crème praline.

With a new menu service each day, over 5 days, the kitchen team delivered healthy, nutritious plates to keep clients invigorated during long days onsite at the event.  This event and all the noise will not be one we forget in a hurry - just amazing!
